Lionel Rogosin (1924 - 2000) est un cinéaste États-Unien (cf. wikipédia). On the Bowery est son premier film, consacré à ce quartier pauvre du sud-est de Manhattan à New York surnommé The Bowery, en français Le quartier des clochards, et plus précisément à Ray, un cheminot à bout de ressources.
